Neutral Farmhouse Thanksgiving Centerpiece

I can not believe how fast this year has flown by, seriously wasn't it Thanksgiving a few weeks ago? How in the world can we be facing it again? But here we are! So today cozy Thanksgiving tablescapes are on our mind! This beautiful look is simple, with neutral and green pumpkins and oh so cozy!

Fall, Cottage Style, Tablescape

We pared a cream painters canvas that we picked up at Lowes and rich forest green table runner. We twisted a strand of cotton garland (Get your own in our SHOP) around this adorable galvanized cake plate and topped it with a beautiful green pumpkin. Around the edges, we placed antique silver candlesticks, and on either end, we place these wonderful white pumpkins.

For plates, we went with crisp white china plates and fun chicken wire and daisy napkin rings find the tutorial to make your own HERE.

We also used these amazing pillows we picked up a Burkes last winter to add a touch of cozy to our antique chairs.

Another fun touch we added for another layer of texture and color are fall leaves. I love the crispy, crinkly look they have and it goes so well with the table decor.

Pumpkin Rolls Recipe

These adorable rolls are delicious and so easy to make! Savory with a touch of pumpkin, perfect for the holiday season.

Fall Recipe, Bread, Yummy,

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons grass-fed butter melted
1 large free range egg (plus another to baste the rolls with)
1 cup organic whole milk scalded & cooled to lukewarm
1/2 cup organic pumpkin puree
3 3/4 cups organic all-purpose flour
2 1/4 teaspoons yeast
1/4 cup raw sugar
1 teaspoon salt
cinnamon sticks cut

Fall Recipe, Bread, Yummy Food

Directions:

In an electric mixer with a dough hook attachment, mix together yeast, milk, sugar, butter, pumpkin, egg, and salt until combined. Slowly add flour with the mixer on medium-low speed until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Turn off the mixer and allow the dough to rest for 5 minutes.
Turn the mixer back on medium-low speed for 5 minutes (the dough should be soft and smooth). Move dough to a large oiled bowl, cover with oiled plastic wrap and let the dough rise until doubled (1 hour). Punch the dough down and place on a lightly floured surface. Divide the dough into 15 equal pieces and shape into balls, flatten slightly with your palm, with a sharp paring knife cut 8 slices (don't cut all the way through) all the way around the dough to create a pumpkin shape. Cut the Cinnamon stick into pieces and press a piece into the center of into each pumpkin. Cover and let rise for an hour. Preheat oven to 350F. Baste the rolls with beaten egg. Bake for 14minutes or until golden.

9 Beautiful Thanksgiving Centerpieces

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, I love the warmth, the gathering of friends and family and the change in perspective as we give thanks for everything we have been blessed with this year. It's a time to remember the big things and the little things, the things we noticed in the moment, and the things that slipped our minds in our nightly prayers.

We, each and everyone have been blessed this year. Sometimes it's hard to see, sometimes it takes some distance to realize how blessed we've been. To recognize the blessing in the things that we didn't get, the places that didn't come to fruition. Sometimes our greatest blessing is what He hasn't given us.

Farmhouse, Fall, Cottage, Country, Pumpkins

Maybe this season, in the midst of giving thanks for all we have, we should say give thanks for all the things we thought we needed. Maybe we should give thanks for the things we thought we wanted but in His amazing grace held back from us.

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we put together some of our favorite centerpieces for Thanksgiving!

Farmhouse, Fall, Cottage, Country, Pumpkins

For this look, we used white and green pumpkins, dried hydrangeas, tarnished silver candlesticks and chargers, bone china plates, mini green pumpkins, and white linen napkins with chicken wire and daisy napkin rings.

We used a cream canvas for a tablecloth with a forest green table runner for this look, soft fleece white throw pillows in antique chairs. For our centerpiece, we used big white pumpkins, silver candlesticks, cotton garland a galvanized cake plate with a pretty green pumpkin. We also sprinkled a couple leaves on the table as well for a pop of color.

Farmhouse Thanksgiving Tablescape

Thanksgiving has always been special at the Cottage. Almost all of our family is spread out across the states so it is usually just us and sometimes a few good friends. From early in the morning, the house smells like baking bread and pies, roasting turkey and spices all mingling together in a mouthwatering aroma. Christmas carols play softly (a family tradition started by Grandma Cottage), as we work together on the Thanksgiving feast.

One thing we love is decorating the table! This year we chose white and green pumpkins with tarnished silver candlesticks and dried hydrangeas.

We reused the gold disks from the garden party and hung them from the ceiling throughout the room.

We found these great silver candle holders from an estate sale, we loved the aged look so we didn't bother polishing them.

We used chalk paint on little orange pumpkins to make them this adorable green, and the chicken wire napkin rings.

Mix matched silver platers set off the white of the bone china and linen napkins perfectly and tie the candlesticks in perfectly.

The neutral tones of the dried hydrangeas really pull this look together. We waited until later in the season to clip them so we would get this neutral look but earlier in the year you would have them more colorful. Simply clip them the length you are wanting and put them into your basket or vase without water and they will dry this way.
