Cozy Cottage Christmas Porch

I finally got around to shooting our front porch decor! I really love the way it came out, this year I skipped our normal ice cycle lights for a set of Edison bulb string lights, galvanized buckets a giant chalkboard and flocked Christmas trees.

I love the cozy feeling you get when you walk up the sidewalk and see the door! The colors really pop against our black door.

Where our ice cycle lights would normally hang we draped strands of Edison string lights (you can find them in our shop HERE), I think the give the house a bit more of a vintage look while still keeping that warm Christmas feel.

We pulled our bench and chalkboard closer to the door and placed galvanized buckets with flocked tomato cage trees with them. Would you guys like us to do a tutorial on these trees? They are super easy and absolutely adorable!

Next, to the tree we also placed these gorgeous lanterns and our little post box from Decor Steals. I love the splash of red against the black!

Over the door, we twisted together pieces of plain green garland until it reached a thickness we liked and then wrapped simple green Christmas lights around it.

We also hung wreaths on the windows on either side of the door, I think it makes it a little cozier and softens the look of the windows. I wanted to hang them on our dormer windows but sadly our ladder is not tall enough, and I gave up gymnastics when I was little and as often as my friend likes to tell me I am Wonder Woman I can not jump from the ground to roof in a single bound- so our dormer windows remain wreathless.
