O come let us adore Him~

A simple nativity scene, buried beneath sparkling lights and glittering tinsel, lost in the midst of hectic schedule and massive to-do list. Forget in the midst of another busy Christmas season. We're busy, so so busy. Too busy to listen, too busy to stop, too busy for childlike wonder as our lives pull us in a million different directions. Christmas cards to send, parties to attend, family gatherings to plan, presents to wrap- tomorrow. Tomorrow we'll stop, we'll notice, we'll slow down- but tomorrow never comes.

In the cacophony of noise we no longer, hear the quiet words, beckoning us to come and look. To see, really see. To look into the manager and discover anew the beauty of Christmas.

A story- the greatest story begins here. In this unimportant spot, in the presence of farm animals, the humblest of places. A story begins here that will change the world. How ironic that the greatest act of love is overshadowed by small ones.

Come with me, come and peer into the manager once more- look into your savior's face. Can you see the love? The love that drew Him from heaven, down to earth to rescue you. The beauty of Christmas isn't anything you could ever find under your tree, but the child who was laid in one, so that He could be hung on one for you.

Each of us is the innkeeper of our hearts, we must decide if there is room for Him there, or if He will find it full up with the celebration of His birth.

When was the last time we stood in awe- awe of His greatness, awe of His mercy, awe of His presence- the greatest present ever given. Will He find room in your Inn? Or will the celebration, the to-do's, the shopping keep the doors closed?

Come with me, come to the manager and let go of your burdens, the things pulling at your attention, turn off your phone, close your computer, find someplace quiet, and lay the stuff keeping your Inn full at His feet and let Him fill revive the weary places. Let Him fill the cracks you've tried so hard to keep hidden. Pull out the stuff and let Him pour Himself into that place. He loves you so much that He came and sought you out, and willing hung on a tree so that you would be saved. Come... let us adore Him. Forget the bustle, the chaos, leave it all behind and come.
