Cast Iron Dutch Apple Pie

Apple pie is one of my favorite deserts- especially around this time of year! There is nothing like the sweet, cinnamon, apple amazingness especially when it's in a cast iron pan. It just makes everything taste better! Plus you can cook the whole thing in one pan.

Ingredients:

Crust:

1 Cup Organic All-Purpose Flour
1 Cup Organic Oats
2/3 Cup Raw Sugar
1 Teaspoon Organic Cinnamon
1 Teaspoon Organic Allspice
1 1/3 Cup Grass Fed Butter

Directions:

In a mixing bowl mix flour, oats, sugar, cinnamon, and allspice. Stir together, slice butter into thin chunks, add butter to flour mixture. Mix until crumbly then set aside.

Filling:

8 Organic Apples sliced
1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
4 Tablespoons Raw Sugar

Directions:

Peel and slice your apples and place in a cast iron pan, add cinnamon and sugar. Cook until tender, cover with crumbles and bake at 350F for 20 minutes.
