Beautiful Handcrafted Watch + GIVEAWAY

You guys know how much I love Jewelry, but my style is all over the place and the perfect watch has to be elegant enough to pair with a beautiful dress and natural enough to go with a pair of jeans because the truth is we never know what we are doing around here. Especially now that spring is here with all of the chores we had a break from over the winter.

One minute we are shooting a video, or hanging out in the office working (or planning our next road trip!) and the next we’re creating something fantastic (if I do say so myself!) in the kitchen, or heading out to check on the animals which has been happening a lot now that we have baby chicks at the Cottage.

So to be able to stay with me all day my watch has to sturdy, splash proof is an absolute must and be comfortable, this watch meets all of those requirements!

When we got our Frankie Zebrawood and Champagne watch in the mail I was so excited! This is such a beautiful and unique timepiece! Minimalistic enough to go with the simplest outfit and elegant enough to still wear when I dress up.

Wild Roses Fashion - It's Purple

I came across a picture on Pinterest of Taylor Swift wearing a really vintage looking outfit and posing with a  bike, I thought the look was cute so I re-created with some stuff I had. I really like how this one came out, and thought I would share it with you.

I got the purple sweater and cream skirt from a local vintage store, the sunglasses are from Ross, the bracelet is from Clair's Boutique and the necklace was my grandmother's. I got the purple flower that is in my hair from Walmart to go on a pair of wings- but that is a whole other story. My shoes are from Walmart too. For my hair, I just used a "bump it".

Wild Roses Fashion - Pretty In Pink

I really love the classic looks.  I am not a lover of modern fashion which really is not modern at all but a recycling of the 60's, 70's and 80's. I've been accused of living in "the renaissance, a hundred years ago" Well other than being absolutely historically  inaccurate, it is wrong, I like soft looks of the mid 40's it is beautiful and romantic and frankly the women look like women. (But honestly is there anything wrong with the renaissance? Well other than regular showers, and AC.) The regular stores are out for me in my area anyway so we started going to vintage stores. This outfit is one of my favorites.  I love the soft pink with the pearls.  The important thing is you can get the classic looks you want without breaking the bank.

The skirt is made of cotton and is embroidered with a pink thread a the bottom. The shirt is a knit and it is so soft. Together I think they were $9.00 - $10.00 the clip is from Walmart and I can't remember how much I spent for it but under $6.00, The bracelet was a set of 4 and was from Claire's Boutique in the mall.  It was $3.00 and the necklace was my grandmother's.

I don't normally have curly hair and my hair is really long and thick so normal methods don't work well.  We found this technique and it works so well that I had to share with everyone.
Here is the tutorial on how to do the curls.

I really loved how they turned out and even the 2nd day they are still there but just a bit softer.
