How it all began:

We started blogging on January 5, 2013, but we had been tossing the idea around for a couple years. Some friends kept telling us we needed to start something called a blog- at the time Brianna and I were 16 and full-time homeschool students. We kind of just chuckled and said: "who'd want to read what we have to say?" But God had other ideas and kept pressing the idea on our hearts so on the 5th of January we embarked on this journey knowing absolutely nothing about running a blog or creating a platform.

Our Advise For New Bloggers:

1: This is going to be one of the hardest things you ever do, they'll be bad days, days you want to pack up and walk away, they'll be days when you shut the computer and walk away feeling like a failure, they'll be times where you feel like what you've written isn't good enough (there will be a lot of those moments), there will moments where other's words leave you with tears streaming down your face, there will amazing moments where someone will say that your words changed their lives, or helped them through a bad place, or kept them from making a horrible decision, or brought a ray a sunshine to a really bad day, that your words made them laugh, or see the world a little different, or made them try something new. Your keyboard, your pen they are powerful. You have the opportunity to make the world brighter or darker. To make it a kinder warmer place, to touch people and leave them changed. It's worth it, every exhausting, hard, amazing moment is worth it. Stick to it, even when you're tired. If He has called you to this, it is for a reason. Don't try to be like everyone else, don't try to sound like other bloggers, don't be afraid to stick out, to not quite fit in the set categories of "blogging".

2: People crave genuine relationships through social media when you respond to the comment you get, or if you go out of the way to comment on their posts if it's just something simple it will make them special, it's a reminder that this page on the web isn't just a cold online presence- but a human being.
