The Lace Maker Book Review

We are very blessed to be asked to review books from time to time before they are released to the public.  We love to read and this is just a delight for us. One of the books was the book called "The Lacemaker" by the author Laura Frantz.

First of all, I loved this book so much! This author did amazing research and wove into it these wonderful characters.

Our main character Elizabeth "Liberty" is a lacemaker in Colonial Williamsburg, VA just before the American Revolution explodes on the scene changing the fledgling nation forever and her life forever. Abandoned by her Father, accused of being a spy, can she survive?

This was such a beautiful story, I didn't want it to end. The characters were rich, wonderful, believable and I was left in the end feeling like I was walking away from a beautiful friendship. I hated to say goodbye.

It showed the strengths and weaknesses of the characters and really pulled you into the beginning of the fight for freedom for our nation. This is a don't miss book. 

The author and her friend and fellow author wrote books about lacemakers and the books touch in such wonderful ways. So Check out "A Refuge Assured" by Jocelyn Green to see the way the lives of these two women touch.
