The last two years haven't been easy on Kaine Prescott, after the death of her husband and her pleas for the police to investigate further falling on deaf ears and a stalker that no one believes exists but her she fleas her San Diago life and moves to a small town in Wisconsin. She bought a house sight-unseen with plans to fix it up and she attempts to get her life on track.
But then she see's the victorian monstrocity, the ad said only needed some TLC and discovers the realtor was less than honest. Slowly the houses sorted history comes to light, leaving her questioning her rash decision. All to soon the demons of her past begin to catch up with her, can she discover the past of the house and her own families before whoever is chasing her catches up with her?

I could not put this book down! I think I practically inhaled it. The author did an outstanding job weaving past and present mysteries together in a way that will leave you on the edge of your seat to the very last page. I highly recommend this one!
