This has to be one of my absolute favorite burgers! The perfect mixture of sweet and savory, fruit and meat. This burger brings you the flavors of the island state even when you can't visit the tropical paradise. Grilled pineapple, caramelized bacon, ham, and apple- are you drooling yet?
Toppings & Condiments:
3 Leaves of Fresh Organic Lettuce
Caramelized Nitrate Free Bacon
Caramelized Sliced Ham
Grilled Pineapple
Honey Mustard
Mayonnaise
Pork Patties

Meat:
1/2 Pound Ground Pork1/2 Teaspoon Himalayan Pink Salt
1/4 Of an Organic Apple
1/2 Tablespoon Raw Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 Tablespoon + a little more Pineapple Juice
Mix ingredients in a bowl, form into 3 patties. Splash some more pineapple juice in a skillet and cook patties until no longer pink (Internal temperature should be 160F).
Bacon:
3 Pieces of Uncured BaconHoney
Drizzle a small amount of honey on each strip of bacon. Cook until crispy over medium heat. Remove from pan and set aside.
Ham Slice:
3 Pieces of Sliced Lunch MeatToss into the left over bacon drippings and honey, heat until warm and set aside.
Pineapple:
3 Slices of PineappleHoney
Drizzle small amount of honey on each pineapple. Place on the grill or in the oven on a cooling rack on top of a cookie sheet. Broil until you get the color shown in the picture.

Buns:
3 1/2 Cups Organic All Purpose Flour1/4 Cup Raw Sugar
1 1/3 Teaspoon Himalayan Pink Salt
2 1/4 Teaspoons Yeast
3/4 Cup Pineapple Juice
1/3 Cup Coconut Oil
1 Free Range Egg (Lightly Beaten)
1/2 Cup Heavy Cream (Warmed)
Glaze:
2 Tablespoons Honey
1 Egg White (Lightly Beaten)
In a mixer with a bread hook attached, dissolve yeast with cream. Let sit for 5 minutes, then whisk in coconut oil, egg, pineapple juice, raw sugar and salt. Turn the mixer on slow and add flour until the dough forms a ball pulling away from the edges of the bowl. Turn dough onto a floured surface and kneed until smooth. Place in an oiled bowl and cover with oiled plastic wrap, leave in a warm place until doubled in size. Punch the dough back down and divide into 12 pieces. Place in a 9x13 baking dish, return to warm place for 30 minutes. Gently brush the glaze over the rolls. Bake at 375 for 23 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes.
Burger:
Spread honey mustard on one side of the bun and mayonnaise on the other. Set patty on one bun, top with lettuce, ham, bacon and pineapple. Drizzle honey mustard over the top and serve on your favorite tropical plate!This article contains affiliate links.
