When The World Says You're Not Enough

When Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall, he became angry and was greatly incensed. He ridiculed the Jews,  and in the presence of his associates and the army of Samaria, he said, “What are those feeble Jews doing? Will they restore their wall? Will they offer sacrifices? Will they finish in a day? Can they bring the stones back to life from those heaps of rubble—burned as they are?” Nehemiah 4:1-2

In essence, he was telling them, they weren't enough. They were too small, too insignificant, to unnoticeable to be anything. How many times in our lives have we run into this same sentiment? Whether from a "well-meaning" friend- like one of mine, when I told them I wanted to publish the book I was writing. She chuckled slightly and said "Were just kids, we can't do something like that,"

Well, guess what, You. Are. Enough. Because you are his, and through your weakness, your inability, you tininess, He shines through. Enough. You were good, his treasured creation, his child.
