Independence Day Party

Independence day at our house? Well its a big deal- think Christmas, but add red white and blue. Yeah you get the idea. We're a military family, so I guess patriotic just runs in our blood.

Gearing up for company we pulled out our favorite red, white and blue and headed out to the backyard to decorate.

The table cloth is from a friend, and table runner is from Jo Ann's.

The cake plate we picked up at World Market last week. Isn't it adorable? Instead of cake we have fresh green apples on it.

The dishes are from Old Time Pottery. It is called "America The Beautiful" by Sakura, NY and features the art work of Warren Kimble. These are some of our favorite dishes!  We picked the bowls up at Kroger / Fred Meyer to add just  a little pizzaz!

The star basket is from Hobby Lobby, it is perfect for rolls, silverware, paper goods, etc.

Here is a closeup of the great place setting.

The glass pitcher is from Burkes. It is just waiting to be filled with some delicious iced tea or lemonade.  It gives a sweet rustic look to the table.

For the centerpiece we used a canning jar filled with wild flowers and flags.

The fun banner hanging above the table is from Hobby Lobby (have we said how much we love that store?).

Now all we need is the company to arrive and the food to fill the table.  How do you do your 4th of July holiday?  We would love to hear about it.  Leave a comment below.
