Lessons From The Farm - Splinters

Splinters. The worst nightmare of any parent of children who love to run barefoot across the yard. I've had my fair share of them, if you haven't gathered it yet I was the little gypsy that ran around outdoors with my mom and twin barefoot and loving every minute of it- well almost every minute. There was more than one night that ended with mom pulling a piece of wood out of my feet. It hurt a lot, but once it was out it always felt better.

Bitterness is kind of like splinters, as long as you hold on to it, it's going to hurt you. It's going to fester and make you miserable. But once you let it go, you are free to heal and walk bare foot again.
