Lessons From The Farm | Part 5 Grass Is Greener
Ever heard the old refrain "the grass is always greener on the other side?" I found a great thing on Pinterest that had this saying followed by "yours would be too if you watered it" which is especially true if you live next to our neighbor, Mr. S. who seems to have nothing else to do it would seem then to tend his grass (aka - water, fertilize, and mow- twice a week).
Last year was the worst- I lost people I love, I got my heart broken more than once- its so easy to say I forgive or I'm ready to move on, Once. But it's not a one-time thing- it's an everyday choice to let go of the past, to forgive, to heal. Kind of like the neighbor with his watering, fertilizing, mowing etc.
Keep tending your grass, Cheyenne. It's so hard to move past our losses but God is always making things new and working it all together for our God. We can trust that!
ReplyDeleteRomans 8:28 - God works out ALL things for our good - even if we don't always think so.... :D
ReplyDeletePraying for you friend. I've been there and I can tell you once you get through it you will be amazed at the blessings God gives you.
ReplyDeleteMy husband says that about the grass being greener where you water it. It's so true. I'm praying for you. I'm so sorry you're having a rough time. <3
ReplyDeleteThe grass will always be greener where you tend it! You can definitely "water" forgiveness, mercy, and God's grace or you can water resentment, bitterness, and anger. I completely understand. I feel the same way. Praying for God's mercy and grace to be abundantly poured over you! And thank you for sharing this post.
ReplyDeleteI always emailed this web site post page to all my contacts, as if like to read it afterward my links will too.
