On December 3, 1890, William "Bill" Hardy & Sara "Sallie" Chambers purchased a tract of land from Sara's father Andrew Chambers and built the Hardy Chambers Farmhouse located on what is now Fly Creek Farm in Pulaski, Tennessee.
Laurie Popp and her husband now own the house and rent it out for weddings and special events. They also raise registered miniature Cheviot sheep and Dexter cattle. Laurie also paints and sculpts.
This place is so absolutely beautiful! It's a photographers dream! From the lighting to the chippy paint to the beautiful scenery. It's truly magical. I was here to shoot a wedding, as every guest entered the door it was whispers of, "Oh it's so beautiful!"
Large containers of wildflowers graced the wood stove, barrels, tables and even an old piano.
The living room boasted wide paneled wood floors with sweet mismatched chairs and up the isle, there were little bouquets tied to the chairs lining the isle.
The light poured through the open windows and made the room glow.
The front porch is warm and inviting with old rocking chairs and a flag swaying in the warm breezes.
This was the bride's room and she used it to prepare just before the wedding. It also held the wedding cake on a table in the center of the room.
Chippy weathered pain and soft curtains that dance in the wind made this room pretty magical.
Little stacks of mismatched china stood ready to hold pieces of wedding cake.
Shabby wonderful beverage area will soon be a hub of activity for those
thirsty souls at the farm.
Barn door table suspended by a rope from the branches of great trees that surround the house.
Come and sit a spell on this chippy old swing on the back porch of the house. It just draws you in and begs you to linger here.
